Bengore House Bed and Breakfast looks out over the sea at Whitepark Bay to dramatic views of the Giants Causeway headlands and Scottish islands. The house is half way between Bushmills and Ballycastle on the Causeway Coastal Route (A2), 1 mile west of Carrick-a-Rede Rope Bridge and 5 miles east of the Giants Causeway in Northern Ireland. The house sits high on a hillside in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty where the owners family have farmed from the 1600s.
Bengore House, newly constructed in 2008 has all 21st century comforts with the charm of an Irish country house.
The spacious guest accommodation consists of one double and two twin rooms all en-suite. The rooms, all on the ground floor, have luxurious beds with period furnishings. Breakfasts are designed to suit all tastes and local produce is used where possible. Car parking is on private ground and the house is wheelchair friendly. On arrival guests are welcomed with tea/coffee and the owner is on hand to discuss local attractions, restaurants, etc. There are two restaurants, two coffee shops, two pubs and a craft shop within 1 mile of the house in the village of Ballintoy.
Sunsets are not to be missed and the area is noted for interesting wild flowers and birds. For a visit to the Giants Causeway and all the attrations of the North Antrim Coast Bengore House is ideally situated.
